Projetos Pessoais: Porta Retrato
“Family is great, especially in a picture frame,” I once heard from one of my uncles, and so I took each one of these shots. This saying provided the motivation for a entire body of work, specifically this project.
This project is about my family, and thus it is about who I am, and why I am who I am.
Photographing my family is a process both of exercising my creativity and fulfilling my curiosity about how they influenced many aspects of my life. My work is to capture what they are, objectively, on one hand, and how I see them, with many colors, on the other hand. It is to show in each shot a little of these characters’ worlds. It is to return to the knowledge that they are all part of me.
